SR 388 Airport Access Realignment

The roadway project was to realign SR 388 to a new location north of the existing roadway in Bay County, FL. SR 388 is the state road access route to the North Florida Beaches International Airport north of Panama City.

Columbia designed a new signalized intersection at SR 79 and provided interconnect plans using a fiber optic run to intersections to the east. This required connecting the signal to an existing fiber optic run two miles to the east. No ITS devices were included in the design at the time, as Bay County Traffic Operations were to add devices at a later date.
