Upper Oconee Survey

Since 2008, Columbia Engineering and Services, Inc. has been selected as a mapping partner for the Georgia Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS). The FY 17 Upper Oconee Survey scope includes FEMA compliant detailed hydraulic structure surveys on scoped streams in Barrow, Clarke, Greene, Gwinnett, Hall, Hancock, Morgan, Oconee, Putnam, and Walton Counties.  All data is being developed in accordance with FEMA Standards for Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping. All detailed hydraulic structure surveys include a full FEMA compliant hydraulic survey of the structure with a natural cross-section adjacent to the structure at the downstream toe of the embankment as part of the unit cost. Across the nine county area, there are 178 structures and 175 cross sections.
