Site design required a creative approach to integrating the shopping experience in a resort setting. It was necessary to coordinate road improvements on a state highway and a new alignment on the relocation of Linger Longer Road. Best Management Practices designs required creativity to protect Lake Oconeefrom negative environmental impacts due to construction. Columbia explored multiple land planning alternatives varying the site location, building orientation, parking configurations, access schemes and landscape architectural alternatives to arrive at a design solution that provides an exceptional shopping experience. The project was permitted through Greene County and the State of Georgia. During construction, Columbia reviewed submittals, quality control reports and draw requests.
