Columbia first performed a feasibility study of the site which included an unoccupied building. Columbia subsequently provided surveying, civil engineering design, landscape design, construction staking and permitting through Gwinnett County and Georgia DOT. Additionally, we provided utility, grading, and stormwater management planning to meet Gwinnett County requirements. All site planning elements were engineered to maximize land use, including the design of an underground chambers system for water quality and channel protection. Design improvements were proposed for both frontage roads; therefore, Columbia regularly coordinated with both Georgia and Gwinnett County Departments of Transportation to ensure driveway connections. Columbia managed the permitting process and obtained approval from the Georgia DOT for proposed work within the Georgia Highway 20 Right-of-Way, and a Land Disturbance Permit from Gwinnett County.
