Columbia was provided engineering services for the sidewalk improvement project along a 1.1 mile section of Brook Hollow Parkway and Indian Trail Road for the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation (GCDOT). The project consists of the addition of sidewalks in an established urban area along Brook Hollow Parkway beginning at Mitchell Street and extending to Indian Trail Road paralleling I-85. From that point, sidewalks were extended along Indian Trail Road to Beaver Ruin Road. This project provides connectivity to the existing sidewalk system and results in a continuous sidewalk system along the project path from an existing sidewalk system at Mitchell Street to a heavily pedestrianized area along Beaver Ruin Road. The design also included an 87 LF pedestrian bridge over Beaver Ruin Creek immediately upstream of the Brook Hollow Parkway bridge.
