Paul D. Cook, PE, President


Paul Cook graduated from the University of Alabama in 1992 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Joining Columbia in 2001, Paul brings more than 30 years of civil engineering experience to his current role as President.

In previous positions at state DOT and as County Engineer, his responsibilities included staff supervision, developing and managing budgets, and developing and designing plans for new roadway construction and maintenance. He is the managing partner for the Transportation and Water Resources Departments and oversees office operations. As President, his responsibilities also include project management and design, business development, employee recruitment and retention, and QA/QC. He has served as the Engineer of Record on many projects. As a member of the firm's Board of Directors, Mr. Cook helps guide the overall direction of the company.

Mr. Cook is a licensed professional engineer in Georgia, North Carolina, and Alabama and is a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission certified NPDES Level II Design Professional. He is active in many civic and professional organizations and is a 2004 Graduate of the Gwinnett Chamber's Leadership Gwinnett Program.
