Jason B. Hurst, PE, Vice President


Jason Hurst is a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a helluva an engineer! He graduated with honors in 1996 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Joining Columbia in 1997, Jason brings over 26 years of civil engineering experience to his current roles as Partner and Vice President.

Mr. Hurst began his career with Columbia as an entry level engineer. In his current role as Vice President, he is the managing partner for the Commercial/Retail Department of the firm. His responsibilities include business development, project management, and QA/QC. He has served as the Engineer of Record on many public and private projects throughout the Southeast. As a member of the firm's Board of Directors, Mr. Hurst helps guide the overall direction of the company.

Jason is a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission certified NPDES Level II Design Professional and is certified by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He holds professional engineering licenses in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi. Mr. Hurst has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for many years and is an alumnus of the ACEC Future Leaders Program.

Mr. Hurst resides in Braselton, Georgia with his wife, Ginger, and their two children. They enjoy spending their family time participating in outdoor activities, as well as travel both domestic and abroad.
